After watching the Knowing I found it comforting to read the scripture below. I believe the main themes in that movie is lies. Why would we wait for aliens to come and take the chosen children out of the world?

The "chosen" children are "chosen" by being able to hear the whispers of demonic creatures/alien beings of light? Nicholas cage allows his son to be taken by the aliens then goes home to his Christian family, they hug and simultaneously the world explodes. The aliens let the children out on a new world a new earth with a swaying tree of life. I feel that movie is a lie.

This is not our destiny as Christians. Jesus will come and return and build up a new heaven and a new earth.

Psalms 46- Living Bible

God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble. And we need not fear even if the world blows up and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam; let the mountains tremble.

There is a river of joy flowing through the city of our God the sacred home of the God above all gods.

God himself is living in that city; therefore it stands unmoved despite the turmoil everywhere. Her will not delay his help. The nations rant and rave in anger - but when God speaks, the earth melts in submission and kingdoms totter into ruin.

The Commander of the armies of heaven is here among us. HE, the God of Jacob, has come to rescue us.

Come, see if glorious things that our God does, how he brings ruin upon the word and causes wars to end throughout the earth, breaking and burning every weapon. Stand Silent! know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation in the world!

The commander of the heavenly armies is here among us! He, the God of Jacob has come to rescue us!

The Bush's, Cheneys and Rumsfelds of the world seem to be making good money on destroying the world, and their noses aren't "big", as you imply, meaning Jewish. So your anti-Jewish theory doesn't really work, now does it?

I always have concern when "end of the worldism" is used to bring people to Christ. People should be encouraged and educated on the sense of well-being every day in Christ, rather than to ramp up the effort to capture followers out of fear of some ancient prophesy. Let's just work toward living a good life in Christ and showing unbelievers the truth. Let them come to us in the knowlege they are welcome, not just notches on some cosmic fencepost.

The world is going to end as we know it! And the people who don't believe or don't want to believe are fools... No, Christ is most likely not going to come back on 12/21/12, but the events of that day are going to send us forward to Christ's return! In the Bible it says that the closer to the end we get that we are going to know when "things" are going to happen! Every one needs to be aware of what's happening and stop hiding their heads in the sand. People please read the book of Daniel and the book of Revelation. These 2 books explain alot and they will help you start to understand what is going to happen!

The End of the World? 2012 or 21/12/12 see the pattern? 2000 divide it by 3. Oh we get 666.666. Why are we all obsessed with numbers? Always an interesting topic but the Future IS NOT set in stone. ANYTHING could happen in time and space. The possibilities are endless. The world has supposed to end a countless number of times before but HASN’T and so called great prophets whom have predicted previous major events throughout history is only through our own interpretation of what we think their CODE was. Human nature has a habit of looking for things that actually aren’t there. Now I do believe in God but please live life to the FULL and not through the eyes of some religious NUT! God Bless!

I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but the earth is participating in a cycle of our solar system that happens every 26,000 years. It will happen again 26,000 years from 12/21/12. Natural cycles of the universe people!

Please do not allow the fear-mongers to get to you. They want to use fear to bend you to their will, and that's what bullies always do. But bullies are really cowards who attempt to use bluster to cover their cowardice.

Thought make the world, blissful and peaceful thoughts would create a world of loving place. Whereas the thought on end of the world, would make this world a sad place to live in. Christains claimed world ending, please donate all your wealth to those needies across the globe and just live simply. Most of the Christians still live luxiouriously, do you think they really believe the world is coming to an end or they just want you to donate money to the church for more joys...The world would only be able to return its bliss and loving nature if Christians know what Jesus is talking about - loving peace, harmony and serenity within is Jesus, the inherent nature loving kindness heart of all is known as God, and you all have this loving sincere heart.

"As we get closer to the predicted date, we should all expect something similar to the Y2K panic, but multiplied about a thousand times."

A thousand times nothing is still nothing. 2012 will mark the end of the Christian Era, put a note in your calendars.
